New Trends for Fall 2012

Fall is one of my favorite times of the year. There are all the different colored leaves falling and the exciting things that pop up when we go back to school, like homecoming, football games, etc. I think part of thereason that I love fall so much is because of all the fall fashions that come with the season. Fitting enough New York Fashion Week is going on right now. There are all the designers coming out with new trends, colors, and fashion styles.

One of the new fall fashion trends that we have been seeing on the runway for the fall season is the military theme. Designers like Victoria Beckham, Jason Wu, Tommy Hilfiger, and many more have been using military to help inspire their collections. Other designers have been inspired by bold colors like Carolina Herrera, DKNY, Marc Jacobs, Diane von Furstenberg, and several others. The one trend for fall that I just love is wearing the color of winter white. I think that with all the bright, colorful fall colors going on outside the white will just pop. Some of the designers that are using this color trend are Derek Lam, Phillip Lim, Alexander Wang, Cushnie et Ochs, and Peter Som. I hope that  people really look at these trends and incorperate some of them into their personal style.

Now here comes the big thing. No matter what your style is each season there are new colors that can be incorporated into any wardrobe. The big fall colors that I’ve noticed on the runway are burnt orange, eggplant, royal blue, peach, deep teal, primrose yellow, venetian red, and cerulean. All of them are big jewel tones except peach, and even that stands out. Everyone loves big colors that help them stand out of the crowd. I'm sure that everyone has at least one of these colors in their closet at home, so just throw on one of these colors during the fall and you'll be a home made fashionista.
